About Shakil Kanji

Shakil Kanji founded FBS out of a desire to bridge the gap between compassionate patient care and the often-overlooked operational burdens that fertility clinics face. After seeing firsthand how complex, manual billing systems could cause stress for both patients and clinic staff—especially around the sensitive topic of long-term embryo and egg storage—he set out to build a solution that was secure, empathetic, and deeply integrated into clinic workflows. Shakil believes that the right technology can reduce friction, foster better communication, and ultimately help patients make informed decisions during one of the most emotional journeys of their lives.

Before FBS, Shakil built secure digital systems at Google and Snapchat. But it was his experience working closely with clinics, listening to patients, and understanding how small inefficiencies ripple into larger challenges that pushed him to become a founder. With FBS, he brings together his technical expertise and his passion for healthcare innovation to create tools that ease operational pressure while prioritizing what matters most: trust, clarity, and patient support.
